About The George Inn
The George Inn is set in the village of Brixworth. Set in the countryside not far from Pitsford resevoir. Ideally situated for walkers, ramblers or cyclists.
It is said that on the eve of the Battle of Naseby,Oliver Cromwell comandeered the pub whilst maintaining watch for the royalists from 'Cromwells eye' a tiny window which still exsists in the old building, overlooking the courtyard.
Delicious Homecooked Food
You can look forward to enjoying our delicious menu to suit all tastes with lots of homemade meals on offer. Our wine list is excellent including Rose, White and Red served by the glass or bottle. Real ales are a big part of The George.
Regular Guest Cask Ales
We always have 4 cask ales on sale. One of which is a guest ale and changed every month. Also available are good quality Premium lagers.
Entertainment
We hold a quiz night on the last Sunday of every month. An open mic night is held on the last wednesday of every month, and we regularly have live bands playing on a Saturday night.
Function Room Bookings
We have the facilities to hold various functions. We have had Wedding receptions, Christenings, Funeral receptions, Birthday parties and Baby Showers. We have Several rooms which could accommodate any size of party. We are open to types of functions, please ask for details.
